The Bitter Orange is a vigorous tree with deep green leaves, originating in China and spread by the Arabs throughout the Mediterranean basin. Its spherical fruits, slightly flattened at the ends, have a bitter-sour flavour and a rough peel that turns deep orange in late autumn.

It is precisely from this peel that the essential oil is obtained, useful for the digestive function, regular gastrointestinal motility and gas elimination.
