Originally from Ecuador, Chile, Peru and Argentina, the Lemon verbena arrived in Europe in the 18th century thanks to the Spaniards: its scientific name "Aloysia" was in fact dedicated to Maria Luisa of Bourbon, wife of the king of Spain, and even today we call it commonly “Herb Luisa”.

Its leaves, with their fresh and fragrant scent reminiscent of cedar, are perfect for preparing a pleasant and delicate infusion that is excellent to sip after meals and also in the evening for a pleasant break for relaxation and well-being.

Pour boiling water into a cup (approx. 150 ml), place a filter sachet in it and let it stand for 3-5 minutes; cover the cup so that the more volatile substances are not dispersed. Before removing the filter sachet, press it lightly with the back of a teaspoon.

Use one sachet per cup. The resulting infusion can be enjoyed natural or sweetened to taste.
