Spirulina is a spiral-shaped, unicellular blue micro-alga that is no more than half a millimetre long. It originates from the lakes of Texococo in Mexico and Chad in Africa, characterised by alkaline and relatively warm water. It has been used since ancient times, so much so that the Aztecs already used it extensively and considered it invaluable for the wellbeing and health of the body.

Spirulina has been associated with supporting and restorative properties, which help in case of tiredness and fatigue as well as convalescence. In fact this provides a tonic-energising action, suitable for everyone but also for people who play sports, to improve their stamina and to recover after their workout.
